Algebra I - Fall 2018

Course Description:
The purpose of the Algebra I+ class is to provide the necessary support for success in your Algebra I block. We will focus on the skills and habits essential to learning math at the high school level. We will review some material from past classes to ensure mastery of necessary prerequisite knowledge, and we will preview new Algebra I topics, all with the primary goal of excelling in Algebra I and becoming ready for Geometry next year.
Rules (there is only one… besides all of the rules in the BHS Student Handbook):
Demonstrate Poise - Respect - Integrity - Determination - Excellence
Consequences:
You will face consequences, good and bad. If rules are broken in this classroom, consequences will range from warnings to referrals depending on severity and frequency. Students in this course are young adults so this should not be a problem. Parental phone calls will occur, however, if problems cannot be handled on an individual level.

Homework:
There will not be additional math homework assigned in Algebra I+.
Extra Help:
We are always willing to help students when they are need! Please note teacher availability and communicate with them so we know when you are planning on coming in.

- Be to class on time
- Bring materials to class (Chromebook, Notebook, Pencil, Calculator, Homework)
- Give your best effort
